Katherine Furman

Ms. Furman joined in May 2011 and currently serves as a Senior Managing Director of Fund Management & Administration of C-III Capital Partners and Island Capital Group.

Ms. Furman focuses on funds’ management, accounting and investor reporting, as well as the relationships with financial counterparties.

Prior to joining C-III, Ms. Furman worked for a structured credit fund in various roles in its asset management group. Her roles included fund marketing, investor relations and commercial real estate acquisitions of both debt and real estate-related securities. From 1993 through 1999, Ms. Furman was with Secured Capital Corp, now Eastdil Secured, where she managed the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate assets in either one off transactions or portfolio sales. From 1990 to 1992, she was responsible for the acquisition, development and management of hotel, condominium and office properties for a Japanese real estate investment and development company. Ms. Furman started her career in municipal finance where she specialized in housing finance.

Ms. Furman received an M.B.A. from the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University and a B.A. in Economics at Cornell University.
